The Girl You lost to Cocaine is a collection of immersion into the drag queen community. Spread over four years, it takes place mainly in Lyon, but also Paris and Berlin. Mixing images inside, outside, during their transformation or staged like icons, this collection aims to give a broad representation of the different issues of the drag phenomenon, before its popularization by shows such as RuPaul's Drag Race.
If the genre is a race, Maxime Muller chooses to show us the locker rooms, the sidelines, the preparations for this great celebration that is the book, but above all the evolution
of all these creatures who explore the term of “femininity”, in an intimate and personal way.
