Luncheon no.15 has three covers. One features a polaroid by iconic Dutch cinematographer Robby Müller – Kitchen taken in the Kensington Motel in Santa Monica in 1985. Müller worked with directors Wim Wenders, Jim Jarmusch, Lars von Trier, Sally Potter, Peter Handke and Peter Bogdanovich, to name just a few, and created a unique and beautiful visual language on films such as Paris, Texas, Mystery Train and Breaking the Waves. Andrea Müller-Schirmer makes a selection of his polaroids, most often taken in hotel and motel rooms while he was working and travelling.

On the second cover, model Divine Mugisha is photographed by Nadine Ijewere, wearing Maison Alaïa styled by Luncheon’s fashion director-at-large Nell Kalonji, taken from the story in the magazine Couture. And on the third cover, Paolo Roversi photographs the Autumn/Winter collection by Comme des Garçons, worn by model Sihana Shalaj, styled by Robbie Spencer. Rei Kawakubo gives Luncheon a special and irreverent quote about her work.

Inside the issue is over 20 pages of inspiration in images and words by culinary collective Ghetto Gastro, a conversation between New York painter Jane Dickson and film director and writer Sara Driver, a feature on painter Alvin Armstrong by Reginald Moore and work created by PZtoday reflecting the menu titles running through the magazine. There is a collection of fabulous fashion stories by both leading and emerging creatives, a short story by chef Hugh Corcoran with a painting by Peter Doyle, a visual essay by photographer Ekua King and a poem and paintings by Art Hughes.
