Ones to Watch is back! Meet 15 rising photographers, all nominated by BJP’s vast and global photographic community.

Now in its 14th edition, Ones to Watch is BJP’s annual selection of artists epitomise the talent, creativity and ambition in international photography today. Nominated by an extensive network of curators, fellow artists and industry experts – before being whittled down by our team in London – the list spans a variety of lens-based approaches, from documentary and artistic black & white to colourful still lifes.

From war to social unrest, homophobic attacks to social exclusion, some of this year’s Ones to Watch have faced difficult experiences. Others have a fine radar for wider social issues, the ways in which patriarchy moulds both men and women, or in which migration impacts individuals and communities. But all have transmuted these experiences into art and images, exploring issues beyond words via photography and sometimes other media too.
