Village is proud to present No Silver Bird Exhibition & Book Launch by Dan Commons.

'No Silver Bird' is a visual diary of experiences that act as an emblem celebrating and mourning moments in time as they recede uncontrollably from our lives. Within the work visual motifs interweave with one another to form a tapestry of intentions and possible starting points for future photographic investigation.

Commons uses different darkroom processes such as solarisations and chemigrams to abstract forms of representation and even interrogating notions of reality.

Printed on silver paper, the book references the historical importance of silver in the perfection of the photographic process.
