I SEE ME IN THEM is the debut publication by photographer Aliya Hasan.
Working between family archives and contemporary photography, the publication traces a personal journey through memory, migration and inheritance. Beginning with a VHS camera passed down through her family, I SEE ME IN THEM moves between two homes, two generations and two intertwined lives, reflecting on the journeys that shaped her own long before she was born.
Drawing from photographs, home videos and personal archives, the work revisits the story of Aliya's parents, who met while working as cabin crew, considering how movement, distance and sacrifice became the foundations of family life. Through this act of looking back, the publication explores the ways identity is inherited, remembered and continually reconstructed through family, community and home.
