The past will survive the future came to me properly when I was on psychedelics after visiting London for a rave last year, it was 4 in the morning and I was tripping outside the tower of london, seeing the shard behind it and the contrast proper blew my mind and suddenly a lot was realised.

In the modern day convenience seems to be key for everyone, but it's killing social interaction, local exploration and even aesthetics of the area around us, think about it, it's a piece of piss knocking out one of these big glass towers with no character but with something like the john rylands library it takes real time, care, individuality and love to create something so beautiful. When you used to try a new chipshop or album you'd have to go out and get it, journey towards it and you never knew what you'd find along the way, who you'd meet, what cats you'd pet, but now you can do it all from a little screen with no need to get out in this world we've been so gracefully blessed with

I think in this modern day we always want more and more but will rather have it quick and forget about it just as fast rather than appreciate what we have in the meantime and take time with things, this book is here to show you the beauty of what we already have around us, how you don't have to spend money to enjoy yourself if you can look at the world with a certain perspective and learn to love the little things, the daft things and even the seemingly mundane things, real pulsating and living objects that are all alive and have their own minds and personalities
