FEMALE FOOTWEAR DESTRUCTION SERVICE
HARDEL & Village proudly present FEMALE FOOTWEAR DESTRUCTION SERVICE, the debut publication and exhibition by Meg Saoirse Williams
FFDS is a study in shoe obsession, presenting an archive of lifelong hyperfixation.
A one-off documentary book with accompanying performance and installations to process a destructive, emotional and addictive infattuation with heels.
The installation features broken shoes accumulated over many years, with signs of pain and wear still visible. The project acts as a final resting place for a small part of Meg’s collection and provides an intimate insight of the cathartic journey to this point.
