EXHIBITION AND PUBLICATION LAUNCH: Smoke Filled Mirror by Keiran Perry

Village, New Dimension & Pendle Press are proud to present Smoke Filled Mirror, the debut photobook and solo exhibition by award-winning photographer Keiran Perry, at Village Books, Manchester. The exhibition launches on January 17th, 2025, with an opening event from 6 PM – 9 PM, and runs until February 16th.⁣⁣

Keiran Perry’s Smoke Filled Mirror transcends traditional documentary photography. The images reveal a world of raw magical realism—capturing a nomadic circus troupe whose daily lives blur the lines between performance and survival. Perry’s two-year immersion with the circus resulted in a profound, spiritual journey reflected in his textured, intimate visuals.

The photobook chronicles a multicultural circus community Perry encountered in Morecambe, Lancashire, during the pandemic. It blends themes of belonging, human connection, and resilience with Perry’s shamanic exploration of alternative living. With over 100 photographs and a personal transcript from Perry, Smoke Filled Mirror offers a rare and transformative look at a world few have experienced.⁣⁣
