Born in 1938 in the Cuban capital Havana, Félix Beltrán is one of the most important designers in South America. Trained among others at the Pratt institute in New York, he returned with a modernist attitude to Cuba, which had just been turned upside down by the revolution, and created hundreds of logos, posters and book covers. Spanish design researchers Sonia Díaz and Gabriel Martínez — in close collaboration with Beltrán — have reconstructed his design oeuvre over several years and written down the most important lessons from his long career.
