Hauser & Wirth is proud to announce the December 2022 release of the seventh issue of Ursula, its biannual art magazine featuring essays, profiles, interviews, original portfolios, photography and new fiction by some of the most thought-provoking writers and artists in the world. Designed to appeal to a broad and diverse audience, from scholars, curators and seasoned collectors, to writers, critics, artists and gallery-goers, the magazine’s content
spans stories from the worlds of art, design, architecture, theater, film, books and innovation.

For this issue’s cover story, Henry Taylor talks to fellow artist Sheree Hovsepian, subject of Taylor’s cover portrait, about art and history, artists and models. The issue also features contributions from filmmakers Josh Safdie and Ronald Bronstein, who join Robert M. Rubin to explore his vintage screenplay collection; Alissa Bennett, a writer and podcaster who, in Ursula’s first newly commissioned fiction, dreams of assisted living; and Bhanu Kapil, Fellow
of the Royal Society of Literature and winner of the T.S. Eliot Prize, who has written a new poem in response to a drawing by Bharti Kher.

Hauser & Wirth was founded in 1992 in Zurich by Iwan Wirth, Manuela Wirth and Ursula Hauser, from whom Ursula takes its name. A family business with a global outlook, Hauser & Wirth has expanded over the past 30 years to include outposts in over 15 locations. The gallery represents over 90 artists and estates who have been instrumental in shaping its identity and who are the inspiration for Hauser & Wirth’s diverse range of activities that engage with art, learning, conservation and sustainability
