Studio #2

The second issue of Studio is about anticipated identity featuring stories of pioneers who are taking risks and boldly pursuing a sustainable path by redefining their identities beyond mainstream, gender, ethnicity, and sexual orientation.

The paradigms that we humans cast of ourselves and our understanding of them are becoming increasingly unstable. The self-confidence of culturally ethical and socio-politically defined identities against the back- ground of a growing global orientation is as much a contributory factor as a new, openly defined sexuality. Real-life bodies are becoming a surface onto which those on a coura- geous, long-term quest for a new orientation can project their ideas.
