On The Fly is a collection of recipes generated through the COVID-19 lockdown. Through Instagram Stories, an assortment of ingredients were selected and then polled against each other - the ingredients with the most votes were then used. These dishes were then written down, posted on Instagram Stories, and committed to the archives. The resulting archive is a collection of recipes, reflective of seasonality, and of people’s choices.

The recipes contained in this book reflect the ebb and flow of positive, and not-so-positive emotions felt during a global pandemic.

This book is to be used. For recipes to be scribbled on, to be altered, and is a tool for learning.

On The Fly is a 2-part cookbook: one part imagery, one part text.
