In 1971, having studied photography at the Institute of Design in Chicago, alongside Aaron Siskind, Arthur Siegel and Garry Winogrand, Charles Traub founded the Chicago Centre for Contemporary Photography, which became the Museum of Contemporary Photography (MOCP).
