Having celebrated our tenth anniversary earlier this year, the 21st edition of HUNGER, accompanied by a relaunch of our website and online presence, represents a new era for the magazine as we look ahead to the next decade. Encapsulating a sense of renewed focus and energy, our theme for Autumn/Winter 2021 is “Take Back Control”.

Leading the issue are a host of cover stars whose unique vision exemplifies the issue’s mission. First up, musician and actress Camila Cabello who discusses her turn to acting with fairytale remake Cinderella, advocating for human rights issues in Cuba from the US, her relationship with Shawn Mendes and battling body image issues.

Also heading up the issue are two stars of Sex Education as the third season of the cult television hits screens. Actor Gillian Anderson, who plays resident sex therapist Dr Jean Milburn, discusses her Golden Globe-winning turn in The Crown, her public advocacy and philanthropy work, and the wide scale importance of a project such as Sex Education in prompting dialogue around topics of sex and consent. Emma Mackey explores Sex Education’s legacy as well as a series of forthcoming roles revisiting female figures of the past.

Lydia West discusses the ways that appearing in It’s A Sin have changed her life professionally and personally, her working relationship with Russell T Davies and her forthcoming roles alongside Hollywood royalty such as Stanley Tucci, Uma Thurman and Mike Myers.

In conversation with Kenneth Branagh, Jamie Dornan discusses his best-known roles in The Fall and 50 Shades of Grey, returning to his Northern Irish roots for upcoming film Belfast and working with Judi Dench.

Top Boy’s Ashley Walters discusses his shift to directing after a career spent on screen and opens up about his reaction to allegations of sexual misconduct and harassment against one-time collaborator Noel Clarke.

“The Making Of A Legend”, a beauty story paying homage to the timeless sophistication of CHANEL No. 5 on its centenary and celebrating a new CHANEL Fine Jewelery collection reinterpreting the fragrance’s iconic sensuality.
