When observing different religions living together in harmony one understands what "tolerance" means in the best of its meanings. In any case, the right name for this city should be "cultural synergy", given that different cultures coexist here alongside each other. Their harmony easily recalls jazz: there is always a right moment for the improvisation of the single that never ruins everyone's melody.

The seventh edition of Cartography opens with one of the last hidden empires in the world, Ethiopia, for a long time barred to the international community. A nine-day trip to that mysterious and ancestral land, from the capital Addis Ababa - "new flower" in Amharic, to the tribal people of the Lower Omo Valley, the Mursi, Kara, Hamar and Nyangatom communities living along the river.

The journey continues, from the desolate expanses of the Maremma province to the Corsica island, at its northern end, in the Nebbio and Capo Corso: a summer retreat in an ancient 13th century convent to reach a certain form of bliss and industriousness. There is a large Russian grocery store at the far end of Brighton Beach, at the bottom of Brooklyn, outside the subway line Q stop, near the sea.

You can find caviar next to Monster Energy drinks, apples near dill, Greek yogurt alongside those with Cyrillic writing. Changing itinerary, going to a neighborhood where normally you would never set foot and exploring there is much to discover. How different is the other New York?
