Archivio #5

The fifth issue of Archivio marks a new beginning for the magazine, with a new look, new editorial board, and new format to reflect the change in structure, objective, and perspective.

Issue 5 is dedicated to the 1990s. An era not too distant in time, one that easily lends itself to pining for the good ol’ days, when apparently we were better off. But when investigated from a lateral perspective, without an encyclopaedia at hand or the rose-coloured glasses of nostalgia for nostalgia’s sake, the decade progressively reveals a more complex, stratified picture, pieced together from documents, newspapers, photographs, the voices of people who helped shape those years in person, and the words of those who work keep its memory alive and intact.

Archivio is an innovative publishing project which focus will be exclusively on the archive’s culture and reality. It is the first time that a publishing venture is born out of the need to enhance this huge heritage. Every issue will be constructed around a theme, but in a loose way, browsing from art to fashion, culture, sport, design, cinema, science, photography… No barriers.
