Aleï Journal

is a biannual magazine commissioned and directed by its creators, Stas Kalashnikov, Melodie Zagury and Daphne Mookherjee. As an independent magazine displaying photographs, art pieces and essays, its intentions are to showcase personalities of which artistic practices are raw and singular.

Aleï Journal is a collection of artists’ portfolios and interviews, of free writings that range from poetry to fiction, and of numerous series of pictures submitted by international photographers. Each contributor is free to invest their space as they wish to, and the magazine intends to work as an exhibition-edition, a permanent and specific object.Trough the prism of the natural identity of light, colours and vocabulary, aleï journal explores themes such as intimacy, individuality, and body relationship. The absence of filters and retouching, as well as a total freedom of creation offer the magazine’s contributors a genuine zone of expression and sensibility.
