Paris Nord

Myr Muratet's first monograph , “Paris Nord” offers a sensitive look at the fragile, precarious and inventive forms developed by populations living on the margins. Through images taken from the photographer's major series (Paris-Nord, Wasteland, CityWalk, The flora of the wastelands) we discover the interstices of the city as so many places where the intimate slips, where the wild and the forgotten coexist with the domestic and the everyday. Massive and anonymous forms are opposed to this intimacy, which fill in the gaps to prevent occupation, pushing the communities that depend on it further and further. A text by Manuel Joseph, edited in the form of a flying notebook, fits into the book without being attached to it. Published on the occasion of the “Comfort Zone” exhibition at the Signe, Center national du graphisme in Chaumont , with the support of Le Signe and the National Center for Plastic Arts .
